NCERT stands for The National Council of Educational Research and Technology, India. They publish their books only in the complete CBSE guide. Their motive is to help the government in the school-related education system.

The CBSE and many regional boards now follow the official NCERT textbooks for grades 6 to 12 in the school curriculum. Not only this, for various competing tests such as IIT, NEET, UPSC, etc., it is recommended that you refer to the NCERT Manual. There are many books on the market but NCERT Books are independent of the market.
